In July, we previewed Line2, VoIP services that was set to arrive on the iPad later that month. Despite a nearly three-month delay, the Line 2 HD app is now available in the App Store.
For $10 per month, Line2 offers unlimited calling using its iPhone/iPod touch and new iPad app. The service works with an iDevices built-in speaker and mic or by using a wired headset.
Best of all, the voip services are free for one-week, allowing you to make calls, listen to voice mail, and send text messages without obligation.
According to TechCrunch, there are currently 50,000 paying Line2 customers. It will be interesting to see if the introduction of the Line2 app for iPad increases that number.
